The Spark Behind the NEOS

After years of working in the industry & watching homeowners struggle with outdated heating systems, our CTO & founder Scott Conor felt there had to be a better way. He saw the same problems everywhere, wasted energy, cold rooms, sky-high bills.

Late nights in his workshop, Scott became obsessed with one question: What if electric heating could maximise USEABLE warmth while delivering real cost savings and revolutionary energy efficiency? And that's when the NEOS was born.

Here's how the NEOS works

Natural Soapstone Core

Natural Soapstone Heatcore

The soapstone core inside the NEOS absorbs and stores the heat. The core then slowly releases stored heat, providing long-lasting comfort even when the power is off.

Quadvex Convection

The NEOS features 4 points of convection for heat distribution. (1st point) The dimpled back panel forces air to rise in a snake-like movement, this is also known as serpentine convection! (2nd & 3rd points) The front panel doubles convection through the flutes, while small holes (4th point) at each dimple tip create venturis that draw cold air from the rear wall.

Cool-wall Technology

The back panel redirects heat into the room instead of letting it escape through the walls.

Aluminium Flutes

The aluminium flutes quickly releases warmth into the space, ensuring fast and even heat distribution throughout the whole room with minimal energy waste.

Choosing the correct size electric radiator is vital for efficient heating. To determine the appropriate size, follow these guidelines:

  1. Measure your room: Note the dimensions (height, width, length) to calculate the total cubic volume.
  2. Determine heat output: Use the room’s dimensions to calculate the required heat output, measured in watts or kilowatts. Email us at info@trustelectricheating.co.uk for assistance.
  3. Consider insulation: Adjust the heat output based on the room’s insulation level. Well-insulated rooms need less output, while poorly insulated ones require more.
  4. Account for windows and doors: If your room has large windows or doors, they may increase cold air influx. Consider draft excluders or double glazing to minimize heat loss.
  5. Choose the appropriate radiator size: Select an electric radiator that matches the calculated heat output. It’s better to opt for a slightly larger radiator for efficient and effective heating.

Selecting the right size electric radiator ensures optimal heating efficiency.

We offer services across the entire UK, with offices based throughout England, Scotland, Our headquarters is in Leeds, but no matter where you live, our certified engineers can visit your home for a FREE  heating assessment and handle the complete installation.

Electric radiators are a safe, convenient, and efficient heating option. They are easy to install, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. Electric radiators do not produce harmful gases or hot surfaces, making them a safe choice for your home. They can also be controlled individually, so you can heat specific rooms as needed.

We believe controlling your heating shouldn’t require an engineering degree! The NEOS comes with a simple, programmable thermostat as a standard, it allows complete room-by-room temperature control with easy timing settings.

If you need more functionality such as remote control, or programming to fit our lifestyle. These options are also available with the NEOS. Talk to our team about your particular needs and we are sure we will have a thermostat that is right for you.

If you have a poorly insulated property, you may be wondering if electric radiators are a suitable heating option for you. At our heating company, we take into account the unique characteristics of your property, including insulation and glazing, to calculate the required efficiency factor for each room. This means that if you have a poorly insulated property, we will provide you with a larger radiator with an increased efficiency factor to ensure optimal performance. So, you can be rest assured that our modern electric radiators will provide you with reliable and efficient heating all year round, regardless of your property’s insulation.

Our radiators are all made-to-order to fit your home perfectly, so the price varies based on your specific needs. The average radiator starts from £860.

While this is an investment, the NEOS is built to last with a 25-year guarantee and UK-based support. You’re investing in decades of reliable, consistent warmth rather than constantly replacing heating solutions that let you down.

Installation costs can vary depending on factors like the size of your property, thermostatic controls, radiator model, and type of installation required.

The cost of running an electric radiator can vary depending on several factors, including the size of the room you are heating, the type of electric radiator you have, and the price of electricity in your area.

Generally, electric radiators are more efficient than other types of heating systems because they convert all the electricity they consume into heat. However, the cost of running an electric radiator will depend on the wattage of the radiator, how many hours a day you use it, and the price of electricity in your area.

Electric radiators can last for many years, especially if you invest in a high-quality model and maintain it properly. Here are some tips for extending the life of your electric radiator:

  1. Keep it clean and dust-free regularly.
  2. Check the wiring and connections periodically.
  3. Get it checked by a professional heating engineer if you notice any issues.

By following these tips, you can enjoy the benefits of your electric radiator for years to come and save money on replacement costs in the long run.

We are the only electric radiator on the UK market with a different front panel to back - featuring patented back wall technology.

Our dimpled back wall means that 40% of the heat that is normally lost to the wall behind the radiator is directed back into your room instead. This patented design, combined with our Quadvex 4-point convection system, ensures you get maximum warmth from every unit of electricity you pay for.

The NEOS features the Quadvex 4-point convection system for fast, even warmth throughout your room.(1st point) The dimpled back panel forces air to rise in a snake-like movement (serpentine convection), (2nd & 3rd points) while the front panel doubles convection through the flutes. (4th point) Small holes at each dimple tip create venturis that draw cold air from the rear wall, turning it into warm air.

Once your room reaches the perfect temperature, the radiator automatically switches off - but the soapstone core continues gradually releasing heat, keeping you comfortable for hours without using extra electricity.

How to install an electric radiator

Installing an electric radiator is a relatively simple process that can be done by anyone with basic DIY skills. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Turn off the power to the area where you will be installing the radiator.
  2. Choose a location near an electrical outlet and away from any potential hazards.
  3. Mount the brackets on the wall using a level.
  4. Mount the radiator on the brackets and make sure it is level.
  5. Connect the wiring according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Turn the power back on and test the radiator to make sure it is working correctly.

By following these simple steps, you can install an electric radiator safely and quickly.

Electric radiators work by using an electrical element, usually made of metal, which heats up when an electrical current is passed through it. This element is contained within a housing, often made of steel or aluminium, which radiates heat into the surrounding environment.

Electric radiators can save you money on your heating bills if used correctly. They are 100% efficient, meaning that every unit of electricity you use is converted into heat. You can also save money by using precision heating, taking advantage of energy-saving features, and avoiding the installation costs associated with traditional heating systems.

Yes, electric radiators are safe to use if they are used correctly and maintained properly. They do not produce harmful emissions, do not require gas connections, and do not have any hot surfaces that can cause burns. Many electric radiators also come with automatic shut-off features that turn the heater off if it overheats or tips over.

To ensure that your electric radiator is safe to use, follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and keep the unit clean and well-maintained.

Here are some tips for that your electric radiator is safe to use:

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.

  • Keep the unit clean and well-maintained.

  • Do not overload the radiator.

  • Do not place the radiator near flammable materials.

  • Do not use the radiator if it is damaged.

By following these tips, you can help to ensure that your electric radiator is safe to use and that you enjoy years of trouble-free heating.

While it’s true that electric radiators are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat – meaning they transform nearly all the energy they consume into heat – not all electric radiators are equally effective at distributing that heat throughout a room. Effectiveness depends on design features that impact how quickly, evenly, and comfortably a radiator can heat a space.
